Women's Track and Field TSU Sports Information

Track & Field Teams Tunes Up For Postseason

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The TSU men's and women's track & field teams tuned up for the upcoming SWAC Championships by competing at the Texas A&M Alumni Muster this past weekend.

On the men's side, Ahmad Muhammad placed fifth in the triple jump as he jumped 50-2.75 feet. His jump moved him to fifth in the SWAC as a result. Braylon Carr placed sixth in the event as he jumped 49-3.75 feet.

Chris Johnson logged a mark of 23-4.75 feet to place eighth in the long jump followed by Babacar Diop's 10th-place performance (23-2). Even though he didn't place in the top 10, Josh Brown moved to ninth in the SWAC in the 200 as he ran 21.03.

On the women's side, Destinee Payne jumped 39-3 to place fourth in the triple jump while Kennedy Brown finished seventh after recording a mark of 37-8.75 feet.

TSU now turns its attention to the 2026 SWAC Championships held at Southern University in Baton Rouge, La. Sunday through Tuesday.
