What is NIL?

At Texas Southern University, we are dedicated to empowering our student-athletes to thrive both on and off the field. The NIL (Name, Image, and Likeness) initiative allows student-athletes to monetize their personal brands through endorsements and partnerships, beyond school-funded scholarships and benefits, in compliance with institutional policies, state regulations, and NCAA guidelines.

Through our valued partnerships with Opendorse, TSU Athletics is committed to providing a robust platform for our student-athletes. Our goal is to make TSU a premier destination for developing personal brands and maximizing NIL opportunities.
