Michael Strange, Jr. placed second overall in the 400 as the TSU men's track & field team had 10, top-10 marks at the annual J Fred Duckett/Rice Twilight Meet on Saturday.
Strange ran a personal-best time of 47.43 in the 400 followed by Kaseem Ibraheem-Washington's fifth-place run of 48.01. Donyea Jarmon finished fifth in the 110-meter hurdles after running 14.53 while David Livingston ran the SWAC's third-fastest time in the steeplechase after clocking 9:58.36. Anthony Momon-Lattimore placed fifth in the 200 as he ran 21.4.
Chris Johnson placed fifth in the long jump as he jumped an outdoor-best 24-2.5 feet which ranks fifth in the SWAC. Babacar Diop finished sixth in the long jump as he logged a mark of 24-1.5 feet. Jalen Walker moved to third in the SWAC in the shot put after throwing a mark of 52-6 which was good for eighth.
Adam Hines placed ninth in the pole vault (15-7) while Albert Hurd posted the SWAC's sixth-best mark in the same event (13-1.5). Jaden Brooks threw 151-6 feet in the javelin as he ranks seventh in the SWAC while finishing seventh. Donovan Brooks threw 145-4 feet to place eighth while Jamari Preatto finished 10th in the javelin with a personal-best mark of 143-4.
