TSU men's track & field had 14, top 10-marks at the Tom Tellez Alumni Invitational this past weekend.
Isaac Henderson finished third (10.69) in the 100-meter dash while Chaunzavia Lewis (10.89) placed eighth. Patrick Goodman ran an outdoor-best 48.66 to finish third in the 400 while Michael Strange (1:53.76) finished seventh in the 800. Even though he didn't finish in the top 10, Brandon Adolphus moved to sixth in the SWAC in the 1,500-meter run after running a time of four minutes.
Donyea Jarmon ran 14.68 to place seventh in the 110-meter hurdles while Adam Hines placed fifth in the pole vault after a jump of 15-7. Babacar Diop's jump of 22-11.25 in the long jump was a personal-best mark and good for fifth. Xavier Bellard jumped 21-6.25 feet in the same event to place 10th.
Jalen Walker moved to fourth in the SWAC after a fifth-place throw of 50-8.75 in the shot put and placed fifth in the hammer while moving up to second in the SWAC after throwing 182-8. Jaden Brooks placed second (157-5) in the discus and ranks fourth in the SWAC while Walker placed ninth (142-7). Blaine Nunn threw 160-7 feet to finish eighth in the hammer throw.
TSU is back in action at the Michael Johnson Invitational on the Baylor University campus this weekend.
