TSU men's track and field had a busy weekend as they participated at both the PV Relays and Victor Lopez Classic in Houston.
At Prairie View A&M, Donyea Jarmon won the 110-meter hurdles in a time of 14.46 while Te'Drick Robinson placed fourth (14.84). The 4x100-meter relay of Isaac Henderson, Zion Ikuku, Kacy Kincade and Brown placed second after running 40.16 while posting the SWAC's fastest time and 37th nationally. Joshua Brown ran a personal-best 10.42 in the prelims while posting the fourth-fastest time in the SWAC.
Tylor Johnson placed fifth in the high jump with a mark of 6-4 while Albert Hurd jumped 12-11.5 in the pole vault to place fourth. Ahmad Muhammad (48-6.25) and Braylon Carr (48-6) finished 1-2 in the triple jump while Blaine Nunn (51-0) and Jalen Walker (50-2.75) finished third and fourth, respectively in the shot put.
Jaden Brooks finished second after throwing 146-2 in the discus while Walker recorded the SWAC's second-best mark in the hammer (180-10). Jamari Preatto paced fifth in the javelin with a throw of 140-4 feet.
At the Victor Lopez Relays hosted by Rice University, Manuel Garza ran 15:38.94 to place fifth in the 5,000 while posting the SWAC's fourth-best mark.
TSU is back in action this week at both the Texas and Bobcat Invitational hosted by Texas State.
