Carr Posts SWAC's Best Triple Jump Mark At Charlie Thomas Invitational

Texas Southern had a strong weekend in the jumps as they competed at the Charlie Thomas Invitational hosted by Texas A&M.

Braylon Carr made the biggest leap this past weekend as his personal-best triple jump mark of 52-6.75 feet was good for third overall and tops in the SWAC. Fellow teammate Ahmad Muhammad placed ninth with a mark of 49-8.25 feet. Chris Johnson finished third in the long jump with a length of 24-5.5 feet while Adam Hines placed seventh in the pole vault (15-7).

Even though they didn't place in the top 10 at the meet, several Tigers had marks which moved them into the SWAC's top-10 performers. Kacy Kincade ran a personal-best time of 21.6 to rank 10th in the 200 while Brandon Adolphus' run of 4:21.98 in the mile moved him to third in the SWAC. Chris Johnson moved to seventh in the triple jump after a mark of 48-10.75.
