Women's Track & Field Has Career Day At FasTrak Athletix Collegiate Challenge

TSU women's track & field posted 14, top-10 marks at the FasTrak Athletix Collegiate Challenge on Saturday.
 
Freshman Car'De Moore (7.74) and sophomore Erica Grant (7.83) finished fourth and seventh in the 60-meter dash. Grant also moved to seventh in the SWAC after a time of 25.02 as she placed fourth in the 200.
 
Cesley Williams (57.08) and Bayli George (57.49) finished third and fourth in the 400 as Williams ran a personal best and ranks second in the SWAC. Alyvia Brown finished the 3,000 with a personal-best and SWAC-best time of 10:18.33 while Jessica Williams now ranks ninth the SWAC after a time of 11:38.68.
 
Lyriq Ray finished fifth with a time of 9.16 in the 60-meter hurdles while the mile relay quartet of Williams, George, Moore and Desirae Roberts ran the SWAC's third-best time of 3:35.31 as they placed second.
 
Diamond Barrett is tied for the third-best mark in the SWAC after placing eighth in the high jump with a personal-best mark of 5-3. Destinee Payne placed third and holds the third-best long jump length in the SWAC as she logged a personal-best mark of 18-8.
 
Rehanna Roberts (46-4) placed fifth with a personal-best mark while Angela Sanchez placed eighth (45-3.75).
 
TSU is back in action next Friday and Saturday at the Robert Platt Invitational on the University of Houston campus.
