Jalen Walker claimed the weight throw title while the TSU men's track & field team had 17 top-10 marks at the FasTrak Athletix Collegiate Challenge on Saturday.

Isaac Henderson finished seventh in the 60 with a 6.91 while Donell Carter finished second and is ninth in the SWAC in the 400 with a personal best time of 48.95. Noah Brooks (49.39), Kaseem Ibraheem-Washington (49.39) and Michael Strange (49.63) finished 4-5-7 in the 400. Ibraheem-Washington also ran an indoor-best time in the event.

Bruce Prince finished sixth with a personal-best and eighth in the SWAC mark of 1:56.26 in the 800 while Brandon Adolphus (4:25.22) and Jeremiah Barrera placed sixth and 10th in the mile. Barrera's mark in the mile marked a personal best and is sixth in the SWAC while Adolphus moved to second in the conference. David Livingston's (9:08.42), Manuel Garza's (9:12.14) and Gael Flores' (9:34.39) times in the 3,000 moved them to 5-6-9 in the SWAC.

Donyea Jarmon's mark of 8.23 in the 60-meter hurdles placed him seventh overall.

Adam Hines' height of 14-7.25 feet in the pole vault was good for seventh overall and second in the SWAC. Tyree Newman (14-1.25) and Ian Charles (14-1.25) moved up to third in the SWAC after their marks. Babacar Diop finished seventh in the long jump with a personal-best mark of 21-6.75 feet.

Trevon Hill continued his strong performance with a SWAC and personal-best best throw of 52-8.25 feet as he placed third in the shot put. Jalen Walker placed fifth and ranks seventh in the SWAC after a throw of 46-3.25 while Jaden Brooks placed ninth (44-5.25).

Walker won the weight throw with a personal-best mark of 59-5.75 feet as he ranks second in the SWAC. Hill placed fourth (54-7.5) and ranks fifth in the SWAC while Blaine Nunn threw a length of 53-6.5

TSU is back in action next Friday and Saturday at the Robert Platt Invitational on the University of Houston campus.
