Women's Track & Field Kicks Off 2025 Season

The TSU women's track & field team opened the 2025 season at the Leonard Hilton Memorial Invitational on Friday.
 
Sophomore Erica Grant (7.8) and freshman Car'De Moore (7.8) finished 4-5 in the finals of the 60-meter dash. Moore posted a qualifying time of 7.68 while Grant ran 7.71 which ranks 4-5 in the SWAC.
 
Kennedy Brown placed ninth in the triple jump (35-1.75) while the mile relay team of Cesley Williams, Bayli George, Moore and Shelby Brooks finished fifth overall after posting the third-best time in the SWAC after a mark of 3:54.74.
 
Alyvia Brown posted the top time in the SWAC in the 3,000 after a run of 10:39.54.
 
TSU is back in action on Friday at the Samford Invitational in Birmingham, Ala.
