STEPHENVILLE, TEXAS – Texas Southern Women's Golf had an adventurous day on the course winning half of their matches in the Tarleton State Classic Match Play hosted by Tarleton State on Monday.
The event was a match-play format over two rounds. Four teams were in attendance, including Stephen F. Austin, Lamar University, Texas Southern, and Tarleton State.
The morning matches against Stephen F. Austin resulted in a 3-1-1 finish including individual wins from Azul Amezcua, Miness Siame, and Shawnise Gregory while Alexa Gonzalez finished all square and Phaith Harris lost her match. The afternoon matches against Tarleton State resulted in a 5-0 defeat.
The Tigers are back in action on Oct. 17 when they compete in the UHV vs TSU Dual hosted by the University of Houston-Victoria in Victoria, Texas.
