Men's Track & Field Post 7 Top-10 Finishes At Howie Ryan Invitational

The Texas Southern men's track & field team had a strong outing this past weekend at the Howie Ryan Invitational with seven top-10 finishes.
 
Chaunzavia Lewis ran a personal-best in the 60 (6.82) as he finished third overall before running another personal-best in the 200 (22.44) en route to a 10^th place finish. Jose Gonzalez placed fourth in the mile as he posted the SWAC's best time this season with a personal-best run of 4:12.83.
 
Chadrick Williams finished third overall in the triple jump as he logged a mark of 48-6 while Donyae Castaneda broke into the SWAC's top-10 with a fifth-place finish in the long jump (22-9.25). Hezekiah Freeman threw 51-2.25 on his second attempt which netted him a seventh-place finish in the shot put. Turey Stoudemire also finished seventh in the high jump after a mark of 6-4.25.
 
TSU is back in action Thursday and Friday at the 2023 SWAC Indoor Championship in Birmingham, Ala.
