Women's Track Opens Up 2022 Season

COLLEGE STATION, Texas - The TSU women's track team kicked off the 2022 season at the Ted Nelson Invitational at Texas A&M on Friday.
 
Brianna Creeks had the best finish on the track for TSU as she placed fifth in the 800. Ashlonia John placed seventh in the 400 while Zaire Chest posted a career best mark in the 60.
 
In the throws, Phylan Perkins finished fifth in the weight throw (52-3 ¾) while posting a career-best in the shot put (40-10'5).
 
TSU is back in action at Texas Tech on Friday.
