The Texas Southern golf program, in conjunction with First Tee - Greater Houston Advanced Competitors, will host its inaugural golf clinic on the TSU campus Saturday, July 18.
The program will host 18 students ages 12-18 from the First Tee's Advanced Competitor program. The Advanced Competitor Bootcamp is an exclusive, Summer Camp designed for dedicated First Tee participants ages 12+, with at least 2 years of experience and active tournament play outside of the First Tee – Greater Houston Tournament Series.
Participants will have the opportunity to interact and dialogue with the TSU coaching staff, tour the TSU campus and participate in putting and chipping activities along with experiencing the TSU golf simulator. In addition to the golf activities, participants will also learn more about the recruiting process, academic opportunities at TSU and what it takes to prepare foe collegiate golf.
The clinic starts at 9:45 a.m. in Room 155 inside the H&PE Arena.
