BIRMINGHAM, Alabama – The Texas Southern University Women's Golf Team remains in second place with their two-day total of 650 (323 – 327) at the end of day two at the 2026 Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Golf Championship on Tuesday.
Junior Thaiz Amezcua still leads the way for the Tigers on 159 (79 – 80) and is tied in 7th place individually. Freshman Carmen Pate is 1 stroke back on 160 (80 – 80) and sits at 9th place. Junior Shawnise Gregory is four strokes back on 164 (83 – 81) and in 12th while senior Azul Amezcua sits on a 167 (81 – 86) total.
The updated standings have Prairie View A& leading the tournament on 634 (317 - 317), Texas Southern University in 2nd place on 650 (323 – 327), Alabama State University are in 3rd place on 655 (332 – 323), Jackson State University sits in 4th place on 664 (336 – 328), Southern University in 5th place on 676 (341 – 335), and Bethune-Cookman in 6th place on 688 (343 – 345).
The competing teams are playing at the Robert Trent Jones Trail: Oxmoor Valley, a par-72 championship course. The final round of the 2026 SWAC Championships is Wednesday morning with a 7:30 am start.
The final round of the 2026 SWAC Golf Championship will also be broadcast on SWAC TV.
