The Texas Southern softball team is back in action this weekend for a three-game series against Arkansas-Pine Bluff at Memorial Park.
The series starts with a single game on Friday at 3 p.m. and a 12 p.m. doubleheader on Saturday. Families are welcome as the team will host its annual Family Weekend in conjunction with the games.
TSU opened SWAC play last weekend with a 2-1 series win over Grambling State but fell 8-0 at UIW on Tuesday in San Antonio. Due to the change in the SWAC's schedule format in 2023, TSU has only played UAPB one series a year since as TSU won 14 straight over the Golden Lions until last year's 2-1 series win by UAPB in Deer Park, Texas.
TSU enters this weekend's contests with the top pitching ERA in the SWAC (3.93 ERA) and is second in batting average (.323).
