Prairie View A&M scored four runs over the final five innings to claim the opener 5-0.

A TSU fielding error in the first came back to haunt them as PVAMU moved ahead 1-0 with a two-out single. PVAMU had another two-out RBI in the fourth and added two more in the fifth and another in the sixth for the final margin.

TSU only had three hits as Pam Richardson, Jordan McClain and Madison Griggs had hits. Jazmine Gendorf was tagged with the loss in a complete game effort.

A late lead evaporated as Prairie View A&M scored seven runs in the fifth and sixth frames for an 8-3 game two win.

PVAMU scored in the fourth for the game's first run but TSU answered in the fifth as Daryn Haslam singled and scored on Madison Griggs' two-RBI triple. Saniah Henderson drove in the team's third run for a 3-1 lead.

With one out in the fifth, PVAMU doubled and a TSU fielding error on the next at-bat led to a 3-2 margin. PVAMUÂ would hit a two-run homer to move ahead 4-3. PVAMU hit two more homers in the sixth to put the game away.
TSU is back in action at Lamar on Tuesday at 2 p.m.
