Sam Houston gets 7-0 win over TSU

Box Score HUNTSVILLE, Texas- Texas Southern only mustered five hits in a 7-0 setback at Sam Houston State on Tuesday night.

The Lady Tigers struggled with runners in scoring position, going 0-for-9 in those situations. 

Up 2-0, SHSU opened up its lead with a four-run  fourth inning as Breanna Homer and Tiffany Castillo each hit two-run singles to cement the deficit.

Lauren Rodriguez (4-8) received the loss, allowing seven hits and two runs in 3.0 innings. 

Amber Garza, Destiny Chavarria (2B), Adreana Casares, Chanler Powell and Brianna Simpson each had one hit.
