Wilson Places 4th In Triple Jump At Samford Invitational

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Alexis Wilson finished fourth overall in the triple jump at the Samford Invitational on Friday.

Wilson posted a mark of 39-4 which ranks fourth in the SWAC while Cesley Williams' run of 56.61 in the 400 was good for eighth and third overall in the SWAC. Demaya Malone finished ninth in the high jump after a personal-best mark of 5-1.25. Destinee Payne placed ninth (37-6) in the triple jump followed by Kennedy Brown's 10th place finish of 37-0.5 feet.

Bria Lawson threw a mark personal-best of 45-3.75 feet to place ninth in the weight throw.

TSU is back in action at the FasTrack Indoor Invitational at the University of Houston on Saturday.
