Women's Track & Field In 3rd Entering Final Day Of Competition

PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas – The TSU women's track & field team had strong showings in several events as they sit in third place entering the final day of competition at the SWAC Championships.
 
Alexis Wilson placed third in the long jump with a personal best mark of 19-6.75 while Phylan Perkins finished second in the discus after a personal record throw of 143-08 feet. Skyla Faux placed fifth in the event as she threw 136-11 feet.
 
The team had several runners qualify for the finals in several events on Saturday as day three begins at 11 a.m. with finals in all events.
