KERRVILLE, Texas - Texas Southern University men's golf continues their spring season as they gear up to play in the Big Texan Invitational hosted by the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.
The Tigers are fresh off a win during their spring home tournament, Black College Golf Coaches Association (BCGCA) Houston National Invitational last week. They fought back in the final round to win by two strokes after starting the final round five shots back. Freshman Kci Lindskog and junior Devansh Chadha finished tied 3rd individually with a 4-over 220 (74-74-72) total. Freshman William O'Conner placed 7th with a 227 (77-73-77) total and Joel Sullivan was one stroke back in 8th place.
"We are prepping for windy conditions and rare rain in this area," Texas Southern University head golf coach Dr. Gary Grandison said. "We seemed to have the right mindset to manage tomorrow's conditions."
The tournament is held in Kerrville, Texas at Camache Trace Golf Club with the practice round on Sunday, opening rounds of 36 holes on Monday, and the final round on Tuesday.
