HOUSTON- The Texas Southern Tigers baseball team dropped a 8-4 decision to Jarvis Christian on Friday to open the season.
A six run third inning proved to be the difference for the Bulldogs as TSU wasn't able to mount a comeback.
Robert Pearson started the game and pitched 2.2 inning allowing six runs while facing 17 batters.
Ryan Lazo drove in two runs for the Tigers to lead the team in the loss.
Texas Southern and Jarvis Christian will meet again on Saturday, February 14 for a double header at 1:00 pm at MacGregor Park.
