HOUSTON- The Texas Southern Lady Tigers volleyball team dropped three matches at the Rice Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
Texas Southern fell to Rice (0-3), Louisville (0-3) and Stephen F. Austin (0-3), but the set finals are not indicative of the high level of volleyball Texas Southern played throughout the tournament.
"We're getting bet each day," said TSU head coach Jocelyn Adams. "We've had several of our newcomers step in and make immediate contributions. Robyn Shannon has also played solid for us this season along with Kali Fluke."
Texas Southern will now get set to open up conference play on Oct. 23 on the road against Grambling State at 6:30 pm.
