GRAMBLING, La.-The Texas Southern Lady Tigers volleyball team defeated Grambling State in straight sets on Tuesday winning with set scores of 25-15, 25-18, and 25-16. After spending the past several weeks competing against some of the nation's top collegiate programs TSU has been tested and now appears ready to be highly competitive league play.
Ashle Markey tallied seven digs during the match and played well throughout. Kali Fluke tallied a team high six kills during the match. Robyn Shannon, Audriana Carson, Taylor Dickerson and Nicole Robinson each contributed four kills and Sarah Wooten dished out a team high 13 assists.
Texas Southern will return home for a three-game home stand as they get set to Alabama State (Sept. 26), Jackson State (Sept. 28) and Prairie View A&M (Sept. 30). All matches will be played at the H&PE Arena. Â
