At TSU Wright is the head strength and condition coach for the women’s volleyball, soccer, and bowling team. He is also an assistant strength and conditioning coach for the football team.
Wright graduated from Youngstown State University (YSU) in 2023 where he received his bachelor’s degree in exercise science and his minor is psychology. He then arrived at TSU following an internship with Yale University’s sports performance staff (strength and condition).
With a specialization in athletic rehabilitation and personalized training programs, Wright spent two years working in a physical therapy clinic and four years at YSU’s campus recreation center. Where he learned valuable information to focus on functional movement, power, speed, and strength development through targeted drills, exercises, and tests.
As a young strength and conditioning coach whose goal is to optimize athletic performance through agility, speed, strength, and muscular development, Wright understands human physiology and anatomy with a science-based approach to develop his athletes.
