Andrea Casella begins his first season as an assistant coach for the TSU soccer program and brings a wealth of experience both internationally and locally. 
 
Casella is in charge of performance analysis for the program as he conducts research with the coaching staff before applying the results to the team’s training both in practice and during matches. He also spends a considerable amount of time gathering information and analyzing upcoming opponents and recruits for the program to determine strategy with the coaching staff.
 
A native of Italy, Casella played soccer for nearly 20 years throughout Italy before entering the coaching ranks. He began his coaching career with Real Colorado as he worked directly with the club’s Developmental Academy while also serving as the Boy’s ECNL head coach in addition to coordinating events for the U13-14 competitive teams. Casella moved to Houston several years later and began working with the RISE Soccer Club as the Girls Academy Head Coach while also having a role on the boy’s side.
 
Casella is currently obtaining a UEFA license with the Scottish FA and USSF license with the U.S. Soccer Federation. He also holds a Game Analysis Soccer HUB license and a Sports Psychology diploma.
