2016: Started in all 19 of TSU’s matches as a sophomore, playing mostly in the defense and midfield … Helped anchor a defensive unit that led the Lady Tigers to their best record in program history … Played from start to finish without a substitution in 16 of the team’s 19 contests … Her 1,699 minutes played ranked second on the team behind Paige Hayward … Recorded two assists during the season, against Alabama A&M (Sept. 23) and at Mississippi Valley State (Oct. 7) … Was named the SWAC’s Defender of the Week for the week of Sept. 19 through 25.
 
2015: Started in all of the team’s 19 matches during her freshman season … Played from start to finish in all but two of TSU’s matches … Recorded her first collegiate point when she assisted on Paige Hayward’s match-winning goal in the 56th minute of the team’s 3-1 win at Southern (Oct. 16).
 
BEFORE TSU: Played club soccer with Lions Futbol Club (2006-13) and Lonestars Soccer Club (2013-15) … Awarded MVP twice as well as Sportsmanship Award at Lions Futbol Club … Three-year letterwinner at Johnson High School … Earned academic all-district honors during her junior and senior years… Awarded JV MVP her freshman year … Was a first team all-district selection as a senior … Also played high school volleyball.
 
PERSONAL:  Full name is Briana Norwood … Parents are Lonina Kriss-Brown and Bryan Norwood … She plans to pursue nursing in the future … She loves ricotta cheese and all types of bread.
