Manny Martinez began his second assistant coach tour at Texas Southern in 2010 as the offensive line coach.  He came to TSU after spending two seasons as offensive line coach at Alvin High School.

Martinez was the offensive line coach for the TSU Tigers from 2004-2007.  Prior to Texas Southern, Martinez spent two years as the offensive line coach at Blinn College.  He was also the offensive line coach at Dodge City College for one season.  Martinez spent two years with Texas A&M as a graduate assistant offensive line coach.  He became interested in coaching at the University of Houston as a student assistant for the offensive line.  In 2011, Martinez participated in NFL minority internship program where he worked with the Minnesota Vikings.

Coach Martinez played football for McMurry University and received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Houston in 1997.  

Martinez is married to Michelle and they have one son, Matthew (11) and one daughter, Emma Rose (5).
