Gino Simoni is in his fifth season on the Texas Southern University coaching staff. He is currently the running backs coach for the program.

Simoni has spent his entire college coaching career at TSU; 2014 offensive line/director of football operations, 2013 quarterbacks/director of football operations, 2012 offensive graduate assistant (quarterbacks), 2011 offensive graduate assistant (wide receivers).

As a player, Simoni played quarterback (2006-2008) at College of the Sequoias (California), before transferring to Texas Southern (2009-2010). In 2013 he received his Master of Science Degree in Human Performance from TSU.

Simoni was born in Fresno, California and attended Buchanan High School (California), where he played football, basketball, and baseball. He and his wife Nagin (TSU Graduate) reside in Houston, Texas.

His younger brother Brett is currently pursuing his undergraduate degree at TSU.
