HOUSTON — Taliyah Logwood poured in a game‑high 35 points and Texas Southern dominated from start to finish in a 111–64 rout of Prairie View A&M on Thursday evening at the Health & Physical Education Arena.
Texas Southern opened the game on a 10–3 run and never trailed, building a 30–14 lead after the first quarter behind its pressure defense and relentless scoring in the paint. The Tigers outscored the Panthers 56–12 inside and converted 29 points off turnovers.
Logwood, who shot efficiently from all three levels, added 14 rebounds to secure a double‑double while controlling the game on both ends. Aaliyah Henderson delivered 21 points off the bench, and Lauren Perry added 15 points and nine rebounds. TSU had five players score in double figures and shot 49 percent from the field.
Texas Southern overwhelmed Prairie View on the glass, finishing with a 64–40 rebounding edge and racking up 34 second‑chance points. The Tigers' bench contributed 50 points, continuing to stretch the lead as TSU pushed the margin to as many as 47 late in the fourth quarter.
Prairie View was led by Alana Shields, who scored 14 points. The Panthers shot 27 percent from the field and struggled to keep pace with TSU's transition game, giving up 30 fast‑break points.
Texas Southern closes its regular‑season slate with one of its most complete performances of the year, carrying momentum into the SWAC Tournament in Atlanta, GA next week.
