Men's Golf Wraps Up Play At HCU Invitational

SUGAR LAND, Texas – The Texas Southern men's golf team posted a three-round total of 903 (293 – 326 - 311) to finish in 15th place at the Colin Montgomerie – HCU Invitational hosted by Houston Christian University on Tuesday. The tournament took place at TPC Houston on the Cypress Course.

Sophomore Yashal Shah was the top finisher for the Tigers with his 12-over-par 225 (73- 76 - 76). Shah's five-over-par final round included three birdies, eight pars, and seven bogeys or more.

Junior Bradley Lavinier finished seven strokes back on 232 (76 – 77 - 79) while freshman Bhum Juangsiribhumseth carded a 236 (72 – 87 – 77) total, and Ajani Johnson posted an eight-over-par final round of 79.

The Tigers return to action March 9-10 at the ASU Spring Invitational in Montgomery, Ala.
