TSU Athletics Transitions To SWAC TV For Selected Home Events

The Texas Southern University Department of Athletics will now stream selected athletic events on the Southwestern Athletic Conference's (SWAC TV) television streaming platform.

The move is effective immediately as this weekend's volleyball matches against Alcorn State and Southern along with Sunday's soccer rivalry match against Prairie View A&M will stream on SWAC TV. All matches will feature play-by-play and color commentary in addition to multiple camera angles and replay capabilities which will enhance the viewing experience.

"I am excited about the move to SWAC TV for our student-athletes, coaching staff and athletic department as a whole," said TSU Vice President/Athletic Director Ashley Robinson. "SWAC TV is growing at a rapid rate and having the opportunity to showcase Texas Southern Athletics to a new audience on a consistent basis is huge. We will take full advantage of SWAC TV's capabilities immediately so we can share the stories of both Texas Southern University and Texas Southern Athletics. In this new age of collegiate athletics, having access to platforms such as SWAC TV and its distribution partners are critical in order grow our brand."

SWAC TV is the exclusive sports streaming platform of the Southwestern Athletic Conference, serving students, alumni, and fans in the U.S. with exclusive access to live league sports events each year, an unmatched library of on-demand replays and acclaimed original content, along with premium postseason events. On Sept. 17, 2026, SWAC TV announced a significant expansion with the launch of a dedicated free, ad-supported streaming television (FAST) channel, dramatically increasing the accessibility and national reach of Conference programming.

The expansion makes SWAC TV available across an array of leading streaming services, including Roku, Amazon Fire, Apple TV, Google Play, Android TV, Prime Video, Plex, Xumo Play and Dingo TV, providing fans with additional opportunities to watch SWAC athletics at no cost. The SWAC TV app is also available via Android and iPhone devices.
