ATLANTA, Ga. - TSU senior guard Kavion McClain was named to the 2024-25 men's basketball All-SWAC Second team on the eve of the 2025 SWAC Tournament in Atlanta, Ga.
McClain led TSU in scoring with 13.9 points and was also its top distributor with 4.3 assists per game while connecting a team-best 64 three-pointers on a 37 percent clip. The Memphis, Tenn. native also was 90.9 percent from the charity stripe while also leading TSU with 52 steals and averaging 30.7 minutes. He scored 20-plus points on five occasions while also having 12 games with five-plus assists. He was also a multiple SWAC Weekly Honoree.
McClain and the Tigers are back in action on Thursday afternoon at 1 p.m. against Alabama State in the first round of the 2025 SWAC Tournament in Atlanta, Ga.
