Texas Southern Dominates Arlington Baptist in 96–32 Home Victory

HOUSTON — Texas Southern put on a show Thursday night at the Health & Physical Education Arena, rolling past Arlington Baptist 96–32 in a nonconference matchup that showcased depth, defense, and pure hustle.

The Lady Tigers came out blazing, opening the game on a 15–0 run and never looking back. TSU shot 53.2% from the field and owned the paint with 74 points inside, while forcing 41 points off turnovers and racking up 31 fast-break points.

Taliyah Logwood led the charge with a double-double, posting 16 points and 10 rebounds, while Lauren Perry added 12 points and four assists. Malaya LeSueur chipped in 12 points and five boards, and Fenishka Bertho was perfect from the floor, scoring 11 points on 5-of-5 shooting. Daeja Holmes ran the offense with eight assists and 12 points, including two big threes.

Texas Southern's bench contributed 42 points, and the defense suffocated Arlington Baptist, holding the Patriots to 20.8% shooting and just 14 points in the paint. TSU dominated the glass 56–22 and converted 21 second-chance points.

The Lady Tigers led 30–5 after the first quarter and stretched the margin to 46–16 by halftime. A 31-point third quarter sealed the rout, with TSU's biggest lead reaching 64 in the final minute.
