Men's Basketball Drops Contest At Georgia

ATHENS, Ga. - Kenny Hunter scored 16 points as TSU dropped the first game of the Peach State Classic by a 94-62 margin to Georgia on Sunday.
 
The contest was close early on as TSU was down 20-17 after Hunter's jumper. Another Hunter basket would draw TSU within 25-20 at the 9:41 mark but the game would switch tones from that point as UGA outscored the Tigers 23-9 to end the half ahead 45-29. During the run, TSU would only connect on two shots while UGA was 7-of-18.
 
TSU would draw within 14 points on several occasions early on in the second half but UGA pushed it to 20-plus points several minutes later as that would be the closest TSU would get.
 
Hunter led TSU with 16 followed by 13 from Kavion McClain.
 
TSU is back in action Tuesday night at Georgia Tech for a 6:30 p.m. start.
