Soccer Falls In Road Regular Season Finale At Grambling State

GRAMBLING, La. – Grambling State scored twice in the second half to claim a 3-1 soccer win over TSU.
 
Grambling State struck first within the first five minutes as Whitney Walker scored at the 5:10 mark off an assist by Olivia Kowall. TSU didn't let the early goal sway them as they promptly answered four minutes later as Victoria Pucci connected on the equalizer for TSU off an assist by Isabella Dillow. Neither team would score again as they went into the half tied at 1-all.
 
Ten minutes into the second half, GSU moved ahead with a goal. Shots were scarce for TSU in the second half as they could only get one off while GSU added the go-ahead goal in the 70th minute.
 
Even though the goal of solidifying the SWAC Regular Season title didn't materialize, the Tigers managed a road split and have another opportunity to lock up the top seed Friday night at home against rival Prairie View A&M at 7 p.m. inside Durley Stadium.
