Men's Cross Country Kicks Off Regular Season

Freshman Jeremiah Barrera was the top finisher for the men's cross country team as they kicked off the 2023 season in a dual meet against the University of St. Thomas last week.
 
Barrera was locked in a tight race as he finished just five seconds short of the top runner as he clocked a time of 15:36 in the 3-mile race. Jose Gonzalez finished fifth (16:07) followed by Brandon Washington in sixth (16:24). Dan Lerma, David Livingston and Roberto Rodriguez closed out the running for TSU as they finished with 33 total points.
 
The team is back in action this Friday evening at the Rice University Invitational which kicks off at 7:10 p.m. on the Rice campus.
