FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - Jaxson Artisst led the way for TSU as the men's cross country team participated in the 38th Chile Pepper Festival on Saturday.
Artisst finished the 8K course in a time of 25:49, which ranks second in the SWAC amongst runners competing in 8K races. Freshman Aden Ortega ran the fastest time in the SWAC amongst freshmen as he finished with a time of 26:12.1. Jeremiah Barrera (26:12.3), Manuel Garza (26:26.2) and Roberto Rodriguez rounded out the top five runners for TSU.
TSU is back in action on Oct. 16 at the Arturo Barrios Invitational at Texas A&M University, starting at 8:15 a.m.
