TSU 13, ABU 0
A seven-run fourth inning coupled with a one-hit pitching performance lifted TSU to a 13-0 decision in the opener.
Â
Johnathan Thomas walked to open the bottom of the first and stole second before scoring on an RBI from Justin Cooper. Jeremy Almaguer drove in the game's second run as TSU led 2-0.
Â

Tyrese Clayborne drew a walk, stole second and scored along with Juan Sanchez on Cooper's well-placed bunt single. TSU executed a perfect double steal which allowed Thomas to score followed by Almaguer's and Gabe Vasquez's RBI doubles.
Â
The Tigers would tack on four runs over the final two innings to seal the win. On the mound, newcomer Josiah Castro (1-0) allowed only one hit in six innings of action. Jesse Garcia came on in relief to close out the seventh as he struck out two batters.
Â
Chatman finished 3-for-4 with three runs while Sanchez and Almaguer also had multiple hits. Cooper had four RBI while Sanchez followed with three.

Â
