HOUSTON - The Texas Southern University football team returned to the field Monday evening with a lively practice from start to finish.
"Lots of energy today as the guys are feeling fresh coming off summer conditioning," said head coach Clarence McKinney. "Had a lot of energy today as it was good to see the guys running around."
The two-hour session was highlighted by the play of the defense as the unit constantly flew to the ball. The defense closed out the night with a turnover to end practice on a good note.
The Tigers hit the field once again at 6 p.m. on Wednesday night for their third practice.
Season tickets are still available this season at tsusports.com in addition to single game tickets. The season kicks off on Aug. 31 at 5:30 p.m. against Prairie View A&M in the 35th edition of the Labor Day Classic at BBVA Stadium.
