HOUSTON - Texas Southern University and Coca Cola will host "Take-A-Kid to the Game Day" when the Tigers football team hosts the University of Arkansas-Pine-Bluff on Saturday, November 17.Â

All children 15 years of age or younger accompanied by an adult that purchase a ticket will receive complimentary admission. In addition to complimentary admittance, kids will have an opportunity to receive a framed picture with the TSU mascots, Tex and Rex, and celebrity mascots Toro from the Houston Texans and Diesel from the Houston Dynamo at no cost. BBVA Compass Stadium will also provide face painting for children in attendance.

Kickoff for the game is slated for 7:30 p.m. Pictures with the mascots will be taken from 7:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and face painting will also be from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The game will be played at BBVA Compass Stadium in Houston. General admission tickets at $18 are available at the TSU campus bookstore, BBVA Compass Stadium ticket office and online at

"This will be a great night for parents, grandparents, aunts, or uncles to bring their kids out for an exciting game," said Stefann Robinson, TSU Marketing and Promotions Manager. "We've added some fun activities for the kids to enjoy on game night."Â

Interim Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics Kevin Granger feels this is an important initiative to spread Tiger Pride around the Houston community, as well as, give back to TSU's younger fans.
