EVANSVILLE, Indiana- Jalyn Patterson scored a game high 26 points but it wasn't enough to lead the Tigers to victory as TSU dropped a 85-63 decision to Evansville on Sunday in non-conference play.
TSU trailed 35-26 at intermission and couldn't quite get things going offensively in the second half to pull out a comeback win.
Patterson was TSU's only double-digit scorer as TSU shot 32.4 percent from the field.
Evansville outscored TSU 50-37 in the second half shooting 46.9 percent from the floor for the game. Â
Texas Southern will have several consecutive days off before returning to the court to face Oregon of the Pac-12 on Nov. 26 in Eugene, Oregon.
