RUSTON, La.- The Texas Southern Lady Tigers Soccer team dropped back-to-back league matches on Friday and Sunday losing to Arkansas-Pine Bluff and Grambling State respectively.
TSU fell to UAPB 1-0 on Friday in overtime as a goal in the 101
st minute of action helped lift the Lady Lions to the win.
Texas Southern looked to rebound on Sunday but a successful penalty kick by Grambling State by Kaylee Holt in the 51
st minute led them to a victory.
The losses suffered the Lady Tigers were their first two conference defeats this season after TSU entered the weekend as the lone unbeaten team in the SWAC.
Texas Southern will look to rebound on Friday, Oct. 19
th when they travel to Itta Bena, Miss. to face Mississippi Valley State at 3:00 pm. Â
