BATON ROUGE, La. – Errors once again proved costly to Texas Southern University's baseball team Saturday as the Tigers were edged 12-11 at Southern.

The Tigers committed five errors and gave up four unearned runs to drop their second game of the weekend series. The series concludes Sunday at 1 p.m.

With the win, the host Jaguars (9-17) improved to 6-7 in the Southwestern Athletic Conference's West Division. Texas Southern (10-22) fell to 8-5 in divisional play, but still remain in first place in the West Division.

Southern scored 10 of their 12 runs in the final four innings, and won the game with Ryan Watts' walkoff single that scored Javeayan Williams.

Wilhelm Allen picked up the win in relief despite giving up the tying run in a save situation. The Tigers tied the game in the top of ninth when Blake Hicks knocked a two-RBI double to score Gerrek Jimenez and Olajide Oloruntimilehin (pictured).

Hicks knocked in a total of three runs in the game for the Tigers, while Kamren Dukes, Horace LeBlanc, and Jose Cabreja hit two RBIs apiece. Dukes knocked in his two runs with a triple in the top of the third inning.
