TSU concludes non-conference play at BYU

PROVO, Utah- The Texas Southern Tigers concluded non-conference play with a 73-52 road loss to BYU.

TSU led by four points in the first half but went into halftime trailing 31-28.

The Tigers were led in scoring by Lamont Walker who scored 16 points off the bench.

Donte Clark added 15 points and Maquis Salmon chipped in 10 points and seven rebounds.

Texas Southern was limited to shooting 36 percent from the field while BYU shot 42 percent for the game.

The Tigers will host their first home game of the season on January 1, as TSU  opens league play versus the Southern Jaguars at 8:00 pm in a game that will be broadcast live on ESPNU.
