Lady Tigers drop season opener to Houston 3-0

HOUSTON– The Lady Tigers of Texas Southern dropped their season opener against Houston by a score of 3-0 at the Carl Lewis Complex.

Alexis Robles made five saves during the game – three in the first half and two in the second. Paige Hayward and Ysamar Alonso each collected one shot with Hayward shooting on goal.

Houston's Hannah Dauzat managed a hat trick, assisted once by Georgia Dolence and twice by Selena Peters.

In all, the Lady Tigers took 10 less shots than the Cougars (12 shots).

Texas Southern next plays on Sunday, Aug. 21 at Durley Stadium as the Lady Tigers take on Texas A&M-Texarkana in their home opener at 1:00 pm.
