HBU defeats Texas Southern 5-1

HOUSTON- After jumping out to a first inning lead Texas Southern surrendered five unanswered runs as Houston Baptist came away with a 5-1 win on Saturday.

Haley Smith went 1-for-3 with an RBI for TSU (4-6), while Dominique Tello scored the Lady Tigers' run.
 
Jasmine Fulmore went one-third of an inning, as she gave up five hits and three earned runs.
 
Lauren Rodriguez tossed 5.2 innings of solid relief work, as she struck out six while allowing three hits, two earned runs, and one walk.
