PINE BLUFF, Ark.- Derrick Griffin notched his 10th straight double-double and 15th overall Monday night scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds for a 54-52 road win over Arkansas-Pine Bluff.
Griffin scored six consecutive points to help TSU rally late.
David Blanks scored the game-winning bucket for the Tigers (14-12, 13-1) on a jumper that capped the scoring with 20 seconds left.
TSU trailed 50-42 with less than five minutes to go. Brian Carey made a pair of free throws and Malcolm Riley a layup before Griffin powered the Tigers into the lead at 52-50 with a minute to go.
Marcus Wallace tied it for the Golden Lions (6-23, 4-11) with 47 seconds left.
Chris Thomas had 12 points and Riley added 11. TSU added a game to its lead over second-place Alcorn State (11-4) which lost to Alabama State earlier Monday night.
Devin Berry, JoVaughn Love and Wallace had 10 points each for UAPB.
