HOUSTON- The Texas Southern Tigers basketball team held on for a 79-72 victory over Grambling State on Monday at the HPE Arena.
After trailing by thirty points to start the second half, GSU chipped its way back into the game with points in transition and from the three point line.
Texas Southern was able to sink some timely buckets and free throws down the stretch to hold off GSU's rally.
Derrick Griffin notched another double-double as he tallied 12 points and 10 rebounds while fellow teammate David Blanks led TSU in scoring with 20 points.Â
