FORT WORTH, Texas- The Texas Southern Tigers suffered a 96-59 setback at TCU on Sunday.
Demontrae Jefferson led all scorers with 15 points and 4 assists. Jalan McCloud tallied 13 points while Zach Lofton chipped in 8 points.
TSU fell behind early as they went into intermission trailing 40-26. The second half saw TCU extend its lead as the Tigers struggled from the floor while shooting 10-of-30 from the field.
The Tigers were outrebounded 50-27 while the Horned Frogs also took advantage of their opportunities in transition scoring 23 points on fast breaks.
Texas Southern will close out non-conference regular season play on Wednesday at Baylor. Â
