GAME ONE: Boise State 9, Texas Southern 1
The Texas Southern Lady Tigers dropped a 9-1 decision to Boise State on Friday to open play at the North Texas Softball Invitational being held in Denton, Texas.
Boise State broke open a one-run game by putting seven across in a third inning which featured five hits and four Texas Southern errors.
GAME TWO: North Texas 10, Texas Southern 6
Texas Southern had a solid offensive showing but a six run North Texas inning was the difference in the game. Adreana Casares drove in two runs to lead the team.
GAME THREE: Boise State 6, Texas Southern 1
The Broncos broke open a one-run game in the top of the seventh, scoring four times to put away Texas Southern for a 6-1 win to open the day.
GAME FOUR: Seton Hall 10, Texas Southern 2
The game would get interesting as Texas Southern rallied for two runs in the top of the third to make it 3-2 when Thomasina Garza sent a two-run homer over the wall in right center.
The lead changed quickly after Seton Hall struck for four in the bottom half of the frame. Seton Hall added runs in the fourth and fifth innings to get a 10-2 win.
GAME FIVE: Seton Hall 12, Texas Southern 2
Seton Hall scored four runs in the second and sixth innings to defeat Texas Southern 12-2 on Sunday as the Lady Tigers concluded play at the North Tex Invitational.
Brianna Parker and Kacey Creel each drove in runs for Texas Southern.Ā
